OUR MINISTRIES

Being apart of a ministry group is an essential part of how we help each other follow Jesus. Meeting weekly, or bi-weekly for fellowship, discussion, study of the Bible, serving others together, and often eating good food helps us grow and learn in the context of community.

PRECEPT MINISTRIES INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY

Inductive bible study is a method of studying the Bible that allows you to discover for yourself what Scripture says, what it means, and how to apply its truth to your life.

The main goal of the inductive Bible study method is to draw you into personal interaction with the Bible and thus with the God of the Bible!

All are welcome to join us on Monday evening at 6:30pm! We do register for bible studies so contact us to find out what studies we are doing!

MENS
AND
LADIES
NIGHT

MENS NIGHT:

Mens night is a great place to connect and have fellowship with other godly men. We will be doing a Bible study as well as just connecting with other men in the church. To be a strong church, we need a strong community that every man feels a part of, valued in, and invested into. This comes from a strong Biblical understanding of the Word, and to be spirit led through the Word, towards relationships and brotherhood.

LADIES NIGHT:

We believe that gathering together around Gods word as Christian women will lead to Spiritual growth and friendships that will last a lifetime.

We meet together the 3rd Tuesday of the month to Focus on God, spend time in prayer and encourage each other. Of course, there are yummy snacks and a lot of laughs.

CHILDRENS
MINISTRY

Following worship on Sunday mornings

At Sunday school we do crafts, play games and dig into the truths of the bible to build a lasting foundation of faith. This ministry is so important as we intentionally teach these children about the bible and truths about who God is and how we can strive to be more like Jesus.

IGNITE YOUTH GROUP

GRADES 7 TO 12

Ignite youth group happens every Friday night from 7 to 9:30 at RVCC. We strive to create a safe and fun environment for teenagers to come hang out, play games, meet new people, and get to know who God is. We also have Bible study that goes from 6:15 to 6:45 before youth every week.

Follow the youth account on instagram to see what is happening every week.

YOUTH
BIBLE
STUDY

GRADES 7 TO 12

Every Tuesday we have a youth Bible study at the church run by Emma. It goes from 7:00pm till 8:30pm. In this time we have snacks and drinks and read through our Bible study. It is a great time for teens to learn about God and get to know one another!

LEGACY BUILDERS

AGES 55+

Legacy Builders is a group that meets in the prayer room right after church on the 3rd Sunday of every month. We bring our own lunch and fellowship before and after the meeting. We have a short devotional and discussion following and a time of prayer. There are two kinds of legacy: one we receive from people who have spoken into our life and the one we leave. Our focus has been the legacy we leave by praying and supporting the youth in the church and their leaders.

RVCC'S FIREWOOD HEAT ASSISTANCE

Since 2018, RVCC has been providing firewood to Grand Forks and the Boundary to help folks stay warm. This assistance is for folks who have no other means or options and will go cold without the assistance. This program is an emergency use program only. We deliver firewood in single pickup loads only and more will not be delivered until the last load is almost fully consumed. Our desire is that no one sits in a cold house with no means to heat it so we ensure that the assistance goes to those who are desperate and need it most. If it is cold, if you have no other options, this program is for you. We hope we are able to help as many folks as possible stay warm this winter.

ANNUAL EASTER EVENT

We have two family based big events that we put on for the community for free each year. Our first one is a community based Easter Egg Hunt. We've chosen to serve our community with this free event every year because it was during Easter that Jesus died and rose again for each one of us making a way for salvation. We hope that families will step further into the Easter story and discover how important it is because of what Jesus did.

ANNUAL HALLOWEEN EVENT

Halloween (meaning holy). Jesus is the Holy Light of the World and it is this light of life that caused us to reevaluate what we do halloween night. So rather than close the curtains and turn off the lights, we have chosen to do the opposite. We turn on all the lights and welcome as many families into our church as possible. We hope that by creating a good safe family space within our church building and within our lives that night, that families will be drawn to Jesus Christ, and that by freely loving our community, they will be drawn into the same life giving relationship with Jesus that we have.
