For the first time in two years we were able to finally have an in person event. And what an amazing time we had! The Easter Bunny was so excited to finally see all the kids searching for the eggs running this way and that way with so much excitement! See kids running for eggs.
The Premier John Horgan designated the Easter Bunny an 'essential service worker' in 2020. So in the early days of the pandemic when there was so much fear, isolation and frustration the Easter Bunny went on tour for two long days delivering Easter egg to children patiently waiting all day long.
Easter 2018 Star Wars
In 2018 for our Easter event we had all the Star Wars characters out. Even the Easter Bunny kind of looked like a Storm Trooper. It was also during this event that we were recruiting volunteers for sandbagging not knowing that in a couple of months a flood event would happen in our city that would change it forever.
During the pandemic having an in person Easter egg hunt was out of the question as physical distancing requirements along with multiple restrictions on group size made it impossible to gather for an event. So for the second year in a row we took the Easter Bunny around the city on a tour that let the bunny make individual stops wherever there were children waiting.
2019 marked the last year before the pandemic that we could host an in person Easter Event in person. We had no idea what was to come in the next few years. It was a Marvel Theme and it was awesome. See more photos.
Easter 2017 Dr. Seuss
